My PANDA Vowel Book

This fun, interactive, literacy booklet allows your students to go into a deeper understanding of their vowels.

Your students would be able to review the vowels learned, as well as, think of words that begin with that vowel and illustrate their vowel word.

It's been awhile! So much to do and so little time to BLOG, but I am here :)

Valentine's Day 2015

Was a....SUCCESS!!! So much fun making valentine's boxes out of cereal boxes! The enjoyment is always the smiles I see on my student's faces.

A special gift to our parents from them were their "I LOVE YOU BECAUSE...." photos.

Summer Vacation

So, I have been on summer break since June 13 !

I have been spending my time with my one year old son *YAY* and PINNING :)

I have so many great ideas I want to implement for the upcoming school year with math centers and literacy centers. BUT, my biggest interest is how I want to set up my classroom.

I roamed and roamed the web for Chevron inspired classroom decor and guess what I found.....

Emergent Readers

My little Pandas have grown so much over the past school year...I couldn't be more happy :)

Their recognition for sight words have gone up, their invented spelling has improved, they are just so ready for Kindergarten!

Just for them, I created a "Our Panda Bear Friends" emergent reader! I hope you guys enjoy as much as they will.

"Career Day in Pre-K"

What do you want to be when you grow up? What do you like to do? What inspires you?...All the questions I asked my lovely PreKinders before we talked about what a career is.

We have 6 PreK classes at my school and each one of us transformed our classes into a career. We had the Pet Shop, the Post Office, Kinder Music, Outside time, Construction Site, and a Pizza Restaurant. The office was even transformed into a bank !!!

Guess what? The Panda Bears transformed our classroom into a "Hospital in the Rainforest" :) (Rainforest was from a previous unit)
